I love working with the color mint because it’s so versatile and soothing! It’s also perfect for baby showers because mint can easily be used for celebrating a baby boy or baby girl. It’s one of my favorite colors to design with and that’s why you’ll notice there’s not shortage of pieces incorporating this serene shade in my shop. Using our Gold and Mint Striped Baby Shower Invitation as inspiration, this post will give you a step-by-step guide to planning the perfect Mint-Themed Baby Shower!
STEP 1: WHERE TO START? ETSY, OF COURSE!
The invitation is one of the first details you’ll need to nail down. Our Mint Striped Baby Shower Invitation Template is available as an Instant Download that you can purchase here in our Etsy Shop for $10. You can purchase, download, customize and print the invite in a matter of a minutes all from the comfort of your home while sipping a cup of joe in your PJ’s. Check out more invitation styles here.
Etsy is the perfect place to shop for one-of-a-kind, handcrafted and digital decor. Here are some of my favorite mint party pieces that add that special touch…and with each costing $20 or less, they are a STEAL!
STEP 2: INCORPORATE MINT INTO YOUR TABLE SETTING & DECOR
Chic & Elegant
If you’re shooting for an upscale and elegant shower, dress your tables in soft mint, floor-length linens and accent the table with white chairs. This gives the shower a fresh feel that’s understated and elegant. Rent glassware from a local party rental warehouse or borrow china from friends to mix and match place settings on each table.

Trendy & Playful
For a more trendy and playful feel, dress up rustic wood patio or picnic tables with unique table runners such as the tribal print table runner used in this table setting. Pick up flowers from a local farmers market and arrange in mason jars or mix & match vases from your own cabinet. This more laid back approach puts everyone at ease and creates a fun and casual atmosphere as you celebrate mom and baby!

STEP 3: PLAN A FESTIVE MENU
Mocktails are perfect for the mommy-to-be and super tasty for all the guests as well. Including 2-3 non-alcoholic drinks for all the guests to enjoy and decorating them with a sweet menu or fun straws is a nice way to tie in your mint color theme or a special motif.
Many baby showers don’t call for a full dinner or lunch menu – a few carefully selected dessert options and savory treats to nibble on is sure to keep everyone happy. Mix and match mint cake plates with clear glass and milk glass and load them up with decorated sugar cookies, mini cupcakes and cake pops as well as savory items like bacon wrapped dates or mini quiche.

STEP 4: TAKE TIME TO PLAN THE LITTLE THINGS
The special little touches are always my favorite part of any baby shower. Check out these mini potted succulents which can be used as place cards and favors as well as decorations that guests can replant at home. Or choose an edible favor that ties into your theme. When it comes to desserts, I love anything mint so I couldn’t resist including these No-Bake Mini Grasshopper Pies which work great as favors or desserts to serve during the shower (Recipe at link below).
